This is for all of you wondering what in the world someone else is talking about. I don't want to have to have those that are in UK or Australia and such to have to change the way they would say something or have the Americans misunderstand what something means. Americans do love to try and pretend their British because let's face, we honestly do love the accents and the way things are said. Plus all the awesome shows and such come from the UK.

Anyway, here is where you can put down anything that you might want to have others know. Feel free to add or correct Very Happy The British words are first followed by the American equivalent.

FOOD
Biscuits - Cookies
Candy floss - Cotton candy
Chips - Fries
Crisps - Potato Chips
Cordial - Kool aide
Jam - Jelly/Jam
Jelly - Jello

Other
Bangers - Fireworks
Chuffed - Thrilled
Fairy Lights - Christmas Lights
Flannel - Wash cloth
Kip - Short Nap
Knackered - Exhausted
Muffler - Scarf
Pissed - Drunk
Plaster - Bandaide
Shift - Move
Ta - Thanks
Twigged - Caught On

As a side note, for all those who including myself who hate the comparison... Australians are in no way British. We have our own terminology, our own accent and we definitely do NOT ride kangaroos to school let alone keep Koalas or 'drop bears' as pets.
